About Carly

Carly is a mechanical engineer originally from New England and a U.S. Navy veteran who served as one of the first women onboard nuclear submarines. She brings a background in operations, leadership, and complex problem solving to construction and capital project delivery.

Her experience spans K-12 schools, Class A offices, specialized R&D spaces, hospitality projects, and industrial facilities. Carly focuses on clear communication, practical decision-making, and collaborative project delivery. She lives in Edmonds with her husband and their 3 rescue dogs.

Approach

Maitri (pronounced like ‘my-tree’) is a Sanskrit word that means loving-kindness or benevolent friendship. I chose it as the name of my consulting business because it reflects the spirit I bring to my work-

one of compassion, collaboration, and genuine care for the people and communities I serve.

It’s about approaching challenges with empathy and building solutions that are not just effective, but also thoughtful.

I build collaborative teams that bring clarity to complex projects, giving owners the information and confidence needed to make the right decisions at the right time.
